BRENCO, producer of tapered roller bearings for the railroad industry has an immediate need for a Human Resource Specialist. Brenco is part of larger company - Amsted Rail. ASF-Keystone, Brenco and Griffin Wheel, offer quality solutions that combine castings, bearings and wheels from all three of the Amsted rail divisions, providing some 90% of your freight car undercarriage requirements from one reliable source.
The Human Resource (HR) Specialist is responsible for the recruitment of hourly jobs, employee enrichment programs and providing overall support to the HR Department in compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations. The HR Specialist will report to the HR Manager and will regularly interact with all functional areas in the company to meet strategic human resource goals.
Hourly talent sourcing (temporaries, operators and maintenance) to ensures the Company hires the best possible.
Develop new, creative recruiting ideas employing traditional and non-traditional sourcing strategies,
Working with hiring managers, develops and executes recruiting plans conducting regular follow up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
Writes job descriptions/skills sheets and job postings.
Coordinates full cycle recruiting for open positions, including assisting managers with the identification of viable candidates, interviewing, and selection.
Complies with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines, including those related to sourcing, recruiting and selection.
Hourly on-boarding and new employee orientation.
Maintains employment records in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Employee Relations activities include
Administers Brenco's Hourly Pay for Performance system. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of pay for performance system to include job band classifications. Coordinates probationary evaluations to ensure timely completion and annual performance reviews for hourly employees
Ensures the time an attendance policy is administered fairly and consistently throughout Brenco; consults with supervisors on dependability issues; maintains log of disciplines; comprise and post annual perfect attendance listing.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration specializing in HR, preferred.
1-2 years experience
Advanced PC skills in all Microsoft Products
Prior experience in leadership and interpersonal skills to promote communication, team work, and individual accomplishment while addressing issues and conflict directly.
Must be able and willing to relocate to other Amsted Rail facilities.
