District 19 Community Services Board offers this new, Full time professional position located in Petersburg, VA. This position will provide expertise, training and technical assistance to ID Waiver recipients in their home or community. Essential job duties of this position include: completing comprehensive and effective treatment plans to consumers referred by ID Case Managers; provide training to treatment teams,families/caregivers, and/or case managers detailing the interventions, environmental adaptations and support strategies to address identified issues and desired outcomes; review provider documentation and evaluates efficacy of interventions provided in plan and revises plan as needed; develop quarterly reviews and other reports as required by regulatory bodies; develop and maintain data collection system for target behaviors, and; complete thorough assessment based on functional analysis for each consumer served based on observation, data collection, interview and provider report.
Successful applicant must have: minimum 5 years experience working with people diagnosed with an intellectual disability; excellent organizational, communication and management skills; ability to work with a variety of people, agencies and departments. Position requires Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field and certification by DBHDS as Positive Behavioral Support Facilitator. Applicant must have basic computer skills and Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willingness and ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
Position requires valid Driver's License in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher, pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening.
Starting salary commensurate with experience/training. Excellent benefits include sick and annual leave, Virginia Retirement System, and training opportunities. Flexible work schedule, including 4-day workweek, is possible in some positions.
