## Job Description
The Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for providing a high level of technical and network/VoIP management expertise to ensure the application of communications technology aids in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. In this position, the incumbent evaluates all voice technology and carrier services. This person is an integral player in the design, development and implementation of domestic systems with significant exposure to users; interfaces regularly with management and outside vendors. This position also has a thorough understanding of the desktop and LAN/WAN infrastructure and how this integrates with the voice systems to support business needs. The incumbent has strong project management skills, a proven track record of working in a team environment, and is comfortable managing projects through all life-cycle phases in accordance with established direction and standards. This position also serves as secondary support for the data network. This position will report directly to the Network Manager.
## Qualifications
HIGHLY REQUIRED: Minimum 4 years of experience
ITIL, CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or CCIE Voice Certification (1 year)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, related field, or equivalent work experience. (3 years)
Five to seven years (5-7) of experience in unified communications or related field.
Broad range of telecommunications, network, server and desktop knowledge is desired including the following: Carrier Services including Toll Free (5 Years)
Experience managing network/VoIP projects on a small scale (3 years)
