Responsibilities:
Assist customers with call in/email orders Sales is a huge part of this customer service role.
Cross-sell and upsell efforts are required on each call with an expectation that overall sales growth is obtained with upsell and cross sell as a major contributor to these goals.
(Examples:
encouraging related items or highlighting missed opportunities for savings by buying in larger quantities) Assist in the overall corporate sales goal as an increase in all sales year over year by handling complex orders, answering pricing questions, or through transferred calls.
Has a thorough understanding VAC to ensure the customer is ordering the right product for a given application or piece of equipment Fully understands the complex pricing strategy and ensure customer orders are priced properly.
Input orders received via telephone, fax, email must be entered into the system accurately, to avoid product returns.
CSR has a significant responsibility to treat all customers with courtesy, respect and efficiency, regardless of whether or not the customer/prospect reciprocates.
CSR makes decisions quickly related to customer complaints, including whether to allow a product return, whether to issue a credit to the customer, and whether to charge freight to the customer for the return.
The CSR must use good judgment, considering all factors, in arriving at such decisions.
